181 migrants caught off Çanakkale

İpek Cenup Çanakkale, Dec 29 (DHA) – Some 181 migrants seeking to cross into Greek island of Lesbos through Turkey`s Ayvacık district in Çanakkale were captured by coast guard teams.

The migrants of Afghan, Syrian, Palestinian, Iraqi, Iranian and Eritrean origin, including women and children have shove off inside inflatable boats.

Coast guard teams caught the migrants off Ayvacık and put them ashore.

Four inflatable boats and a vast number of life jackets were seized. The 181 migrants were sent to Ayvacık Foreigners Removal Center.
